Ware BOE talks budget draft April 1 The Ware County Board of Education holds a called public operating budget meeting at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 1 at 1301 Bailey Street.
Purpose of the session is to discuss the first draft of the proposed annual operating budget, personnel items, and any miscellaneous issues.
The meeting agenda is posted prior to the meeting and the minutes are posted as well on the system web page at www.ware.k12.ga.us under the District and e-Board links.
Ware Rec. Dept. postpones event The Ware County Recreation Department has postponed its annual Youth Fishing Rodeo, scheduled Saturday, April 5.

Pilots offer free flights for youth The Black Pilots Association of America returns to the Waycross-Ware County Airport Saturday, April 12 for its annual “Thrill of the First Flight” program for area youth.
The pilots will give anyone under 18 the magic of flight with a complimentary airplane ride from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the airport, 3098 Keen Drive. Spots are limited. A light lunch will be provided for the youth.
Bacon Center has dance for seniors The Bacon County Senior Center, 108 E. Fifth Street, will hold a Senior Dance from 6:30 to 10 p.m., Saturday, March 28.
Doors open at 6 p.m.. Disc Jockey Fred Hand will be playing all the golden oldies. There is a cover charge.
