BLACKSHEAR — Aaron Clary was recently named the newest loan officer for AgSouth Farm Credit’s Blackshear office.
AgSouth Farm Credit Regional Lending Manager Stacy Nobles made the announcement. Clary joined AgSouth as a lender in 2022, working out of the Jesup branch office.
Raised on his family’s row crop farm in Odum, Clary continues to farm part-time with his father. He earned his degree in Agriscience with a minor in Agribusiness from the University of Georgia.
Clary was driven by a desire to pursue a career which supports the agriculture industry while keeping him connected to the farm.
“Farming is my passion,” he said. “Working in a job where I can partner with producers to finance their way of life is what I’ve always wanted to do.”
Clary will serve farmers and landowners in the counties covered by the Blackshear Branch, working alongside Dan Good, Jon Harris and Jake Hickox. The counties inc lude Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Pierce, and Ware.
“Farm operations in Southeast Georgia are important to our local communities and the agriculture industry in our state,” said Nobles. “Farming is hard work and a high-risk business. Aaron’s local ties, personal experience in farming and strong customer service will make him a valuable addition to our team.”
