Ware County students Zander Lloyd and Angelita Fajardo were recently selected winners of their respective divisions in the Ware County Farm Bureau Bookmark Art Contests.
Lloyd, a sixth-grader student at Ware County Middle, and Fajardo, a senior at Ware County High each won $50 for their work in the two-category contest open to middle and high school students.
Both Lloyd and Fajardo advanced to GFB’s District 10 competition.
“On behalf of Ware County Farm Bureau, I would like to thank each student and teacher who participated in our contests,” said Ware County Farm Bureau President and Women’s Committee Chair.
Following Lloyd in the middle school division were WCMS classmates Erian Brown and Casen Bennett. Brown won $30 as runner-up while Bennett received $20 for finishing third.
In the high school division, freshman Abigail Waters was runner-up to Fajardo to earn $30 while junior Victoria Boland was third to win $20.
Participants were provided a blank bookmark and asked to draw a pic-ture that depicts some aspect of Georgia agriculture. Students were allowed to use a variety of media to create their artwork including graphite, charcoal, pastel, chalk, colored pencil, pen-andink, ballpoint pen or mixed media appropriate for printing to create their artwork.
