HORTENSE — Carla Ann Wiggins Singletary, 59 of Hortense passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at her residence after a short illness.

Mrs. Singletary was born in Brunswick to the late Carl Wiggins and Linda Cox Sweat. She lived in Hortense most of her life.

Mrs. Singletary attended Waynesville Church of God and was a homemaker. She always enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, painting, coloring and puzzles.

Along with her parents, Carla Ann Wiggins Singletary was preceded in death by her husband, William Mark Singletary, Sr.; a son, William Mark Singletary, Jr.; and a daughter, Alexis King.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathy King of Hortense and Linda Middaugh of Waycross; seven grandchildren, Phillip King (fiancé Tianna Lafleur), Shawn King, Jr., Benjamin Cook, Aaron Hand, Cadon Clark, Bradon Clark and Hadon Clark; two sisters, Rammy Westberry of Brunswick and Crystal Thomas of Darien; two brothers, James Timothy Wiggins of Brunswick and Shawn Wiggins of Darien; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A graveside service was held Friday, March 21, 2025 at Whitaker Hill Cemetery with Rev. Chad Middleton officiating.
