Shelia Lynn Spinelli

WAYNESVILLE – Shelia Lynn Spinelli, 62 of Waynesville, passed away Friday evening, March 21, 2025, at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Washington, Ga., Mrs. Spinelli’s parents are Doris Evelyn Burkhalter Dunson of Dahlonega and the late Edward Dunson, Sr. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Donna Dunson.

Mrs. Spinelli was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, crocheting, and doing arts and crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Michael Spinelli, Jr. of Waynesville; a son, Joshua Jeremy Payne of Waynesville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna Danielle Schwartz (Jeffery) and Desiree Jeanette Spinelli all of Waynesville; two stepsons and their wives, Victor William Spinelli (Luba) of Tampa, Fla., and Tony Frank Spinelli (Danielle) of Gainesville; 10 grandchildren, Kaylee Davis, Braylon Davis, Dominick Davis, Jackson Schwartz, Ava Tarpley, Ana Spinelli, Alex Spinelli, Sabastion Spinelli, Brody Spinelli and Lexi Moss; her mother, Doris Dunson of Dahlonega; a brother, Edward Dunson, Jr. of Dahlonega; a sister, Lena Mae Rider of Dahlonega; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A funeral service wase held Monday afternoon, March 24, 2025 at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Finley officiating.

Burial followed in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Edward Dunson, Jr., Jeffery Schwartz, Tony Spinelli, Ricky Wolfe, Dominick Davis and Victor Spinelli.

Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
