Jacob Thomas Sapp, 32, of Blackshear, passed away early Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his residence.

Born in Brandon, FL July 13, 1992, he lived in Pierce County since 2004. He was a 2010 graduate of Pierce County High School. He worked in farming as well as construction with UPR. He enjoyed the outdoors whether it was fishing, riding four wheelers or being at Grace Lake. He loved all sports, enjoyed watching documentaries on TV and loved hanging out with his friends. He attended Offerman Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert H. Smith and Bonnie Barber Smith; by his paternal grandparents, Parnell and Betty Dixon Sapp; two aunts, Susie Sapp and Linda Watkins and five uncles, Eddie Teston, Bud Thornton, Dexter Sapp, Robert W. Smith and David Alan Smith.
Survivors include his son, Jacob Parnell Sapp, Waycross; his parents, Walter Thomas “W.T.” and Susan Smith Sapp, Blackshear and New Smyrna Beach, FL; his sister, Kayla Sue Sapp, Blackshear; a nephew, Kandon Kinnon, Waycross; aunts and uncles, Wanda (Shelton) Rigdon, Bristol, Carol (Donnie) Watkins, Mershon, Bonnie Thornton, Patterson, Anita Teston, Patterson; May (Ray) Douberly, Patterson, Jerry Watkins, Mershon, JoAnna (Timmy) White, Patterson, Larry Sapp, Patterson, Bobby (Margaret) Sapp, Richmond Hill and Paula Smith, New Smyrna Beach and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Lightsey officiating.
Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery.
The family kindly requests members of the PCHS Class of 2010 as well as UPB and Townsend Tree Service employees to serve as honorary pallbearers. Please meet at the funeral home chapel by 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
