Carolyn Faye Raffield Bradley

Carolyn Faye Raffield Bradley, 90, of Blackshear, passed away Thursday morning, March 20, 2025, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, following an extended illness. 

Born August 17, 1934, in Fitzgerald, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Pearl Barnes Raffield. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School and worked in Macon at the movie theater where she met her husband. They relocated to Waycross where she lived for many years and worked as a secretary for the Waycross High School Guidance counselor, owned and operated Bradley’s Cheese Shop in the Hatcher Point mall, was an arranger with Tempco and as a designer for Ed Sapp’s Florist. She was a longtime active member of Central Baptist Church in Waycross and when her daughter was growing up, she enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader and the Alice Street Elementary PTA President. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene Bradley; and two brothers, James Raffield and Buddy Raffield and two brothers-in-law, Joe (Judith) Bradley and Eddie (Evelyn) Bradley. 

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Jack Loftin, Blackshear; three grandchildren, Brad Arington (wife Ellen), Patterson, Chris Loftin (wife Ashley), Tom Ball, TX and Ciera Smith (husband Will), Brunswick; seven great-grandchildren, Grayson Arington, Hadley Arington, Jones Arington, Dixon Arington, Grace Loftin, Cale Loftin and Willie Smith; a brother,  Wayne Raffield (wife Bonnie) of Florida, sister, Dinah Dees (husband Owen) of Florida; nephews and nieces, Teresa and Fred Bioust, Mark and Cissy Bradley, Darrell Keith and Beverly Faith Bradley, Douglas and Sydney Bradley III, Lynn Dees, Lisa Dees and Bryan Raffield, Brenda Kent, Nancy Cromer, Alan Raffield, Kirk Raffield and Justin Adams Bradley (wife Hollie) and his mother Tracy Bradley and many other relatives. 

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24, from Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.
