Ware Rec. Dept. sets fishing rodeo The Ware County Recreation Department will stage a Youth Fishing Rodeo from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 5 at the Trembling Earth Complex, 2110 Cecil Brown Drive.

Youth ages 5-13 are eligible to participate with the event limited to the first 30 registrants. Registration is free and being accepted now.

There will be prizes for the top three finishers.

Sheriff James has Easter Egg Hunt Ware County Sheriff Carl James and his personnel will hold an Easter Egg Hunt from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 12 on the office grounds, 3487 Harris Road.

The hunt, which begins at 10:45 a.m., is open to infants through children age 11. There will be prizes for age divisions infant to 3, ages 4-7 and 8-11.
