TOWNSEND — Calvin Lee Branham, 77 of Townsend, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.
Branham was born August 24, 1947 in Winnsboro, S.C. He moved to He attended Golden Isles Church of God. Branham enjoyed playing golf, dancing, joking around, watching Old Western Movies, Star Trek and Star Wars, NHRA and NASCAR racing, University of Georgia football and going on cruises.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Branham was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Peggy Cook; and a sister, Billie Jo Powell.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margie Branham; daughters, Theresa Lane (Randy) and Christy Lloyd, both of Brunswick; a sister, Ann Sapp and her husband, Jimmy, of North Carolina; a brother, Paul Cook and his wife, Dawn, of Waynesville; grandchildren, Rebecca Perry (Tony), Benjamin Rushing (Ansley), Devon Campbell (Ashley), Logan Lloyd (Slade Harrell) and Baylee Lloyd (Jayden); great grandchildren, Savanna, Rayleigh, Denley, Fiona, Trenton, Matthew, Carson, Amelia and Abigail.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, 1 p.m., at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Nathan Smith officiating.
Burial followed in the Odum Cemetery with Benjamin Rushing, Devon Campbell, Baylee Lloyd, Tony Perry, Slade Harrell and Wayne Campbell serving as active pallbearers.
Arrangements were with Chapman Funeral Chapel & Crematory of Brunswick.
