BCHS junior varsity tennis sweeps Ware, splits with Camden

UNDATED — Brantley County’s junior varsity tennis teams participated in a three-team match with Camden County and Ware County Wednesday.

The Lady Herons went 1-1 falling 3-1 to the Lady Wildcats and blanking the Lady Gators consisting of three singles matches and one doubles match. The Herons posted consecutive 4-0 victories.

Brantley County had three relatively easy wins in turning back the Lady Gators.

Bri Crews downed Izzy Tatum 8-2 at No. 1 singles with Haley Driggers winning by the same county over Callie Lewis at No. 2. Savannah Carroll recorded a 7-5 win at No. 3 over Hannah Hart.

The doubles team of Brodie Allen and Breanna Glider rolled 8-1 against Demi Hodge and Anna Petty.

The Herons rolled to two easy wins and survived in the other two matches.

Miles Florey downed Bridge Little 8-1 at No. 1 singles with Dalton Howell winning 8-1 at No. 2 over Jacob Page. Yog Patel turned back Landon Lingenfelter 8-5 at No. 3.

The doubles team of Layton Myers and Peyton Perez outlast Ashton Stormant and Eli Cook 9-7.

The Lady Wildcats captured two of the three singles matches and the doubles action in beating BCHS.

Crews recorded the lone win for the Lady Herons winning 8-2 at No. 1 over Sam Capulong. Allen was doubled up by Kieran Casey in falling 8-4 at No. 2. Glider was blanked 8-0 at No. 3 by Savannah Kilner.

Driggers and Carroll fell 8-4 in doubles action to Teagan Aldridge and Aubrey Cabrera.

Brantley County had an easy time with the Wildcats dropping just seven games.

Howell notched an 8-2 win at No. 1 over Zach Smith. Florey blanked Henry Bera 8-0 at No. 2. Myers turned back Sawyer Manning 8-3 at No. 3.

Patel and Perez teamed up for an 8-2 victory against Trustin Turner and Dade McNeel.
