Pastor Mike Stone, longtime pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, will be a nominee for president of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). The annual meeting of the SBC will take place next week in New Orleans, LA. Stone has served on the executive committee of the SBC was president of the Georgia Baptist Convention from 2017-2018. Stone has served at Emmanuel since 1996. He became senior pastor there in 2002. He and his wife, Andrea, have four children, Michaela, Andrew, Sarah and Matthew.
