The Pierce County High School Literary Team won the region championship during competition March 5.
Individual first place winners included Hannah Bonvechio (personal essay and domestic extemporaneous speaking), Bowen James (international extemporaneous speaking), Paige Folette (duo interpretation) and Karagan Albritton (humorous interpretation).
Second place winners included Bowen James (argumentative essay), Landon Rainey (literary analysis essay), Ella Gill, Mattie Lee and Paige Folette (trio) and Dierks Altman, Zacch Lyons, Melvin Sallet and Brandon Griffin (quartet).
Third place winners included Emma Thornton (dramatic literary interpretation), Ella Gill (girls solo) and Dierks Altman (boys' solo).
Hannah Bonvechio, Bowen James, Paige Folette, Addison Folette, and Karagan Albritton will advance to state competition this Saturday, March 22.
