Reserved tickets for the 2023 Pierce County Bears football season that were not previously sold to returning seatholders will become available July 10. Be on the lookout for more information to come with specific dates and times. Direct questions to [email protected]. The 2023 regular season includes six home dates and kicks off August 25 at home versus Jeff Davis. The Bears also play a home pre-season scrimmage August 11 against Clinch County.
Your new radio home for PCHS football this fall will be FM 107.1 WSGT (Patterson). You can also listen to the streaming audio at www.waycrossradio.com. Telecasts will once again be streamed online via the NFHS Network (subscription rates apply).
Pierce County High Basketball hosts its annual kids camp for boys and girls grades K-5. Camp dates are July 10-12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily (lunch provided) in the PCHS gym. Cost is $60. Checks should be made payable to the PCHS Tip-Off Club, due on the first day of camp. Contact [email protected].
Driver’s ed classes (for those who previously signed up) are Mondays through Fridays in June, from noon-6 p.m. daily. Registration for the fall semester will begin in August and will include six Saturdays in the fall.

Dual enrollment students: Coastal Pines Technical College will host an information session at 10 a.m. July 13 on the Waycross campus. This meeting is for rising, current, or recently graduated high school students who wish to know more about what CPTC offers.

College of Coastal Georgia and Southeast Georgia Health System will host the 2nd edition of Nurse Camp, July 11-14. Instruction is 9-4 daily, and there are two pricing options, including an overnight option for those students who want to stay on campus. Apply only by May 15 at sghs.org/nursecamp.

Faculty members who plan on driving a school bus or the activity bus next school year need to have your physical and drug screen conducted between July 14-24 at Ware Express Care. No appointment is necessary.

The PCHS office is also closed for the week beginning July 3 but will resume summer operation on Monday, July 10. The summer business hours are 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
