DOUGLAS — Ware County’s Lady Gators golf team finished third here Monday in the 11-team Coffee Lady Trojan Invitational played at the Douglas Golf & Country Club.
The Lady Gators posted a team total of 275 in finishing behind Lowndes (24) and Tift County (253) in the March 3 tourney. Finishing behind Ware County were Metter (278), Lowndes II (279), Lee County (281), Houston County (281), Jeff Davis (298), Colquitt County (299), host Coffee (310), Berrien (311) and Thomas County Central (311). Grace Christian had two players in the field of 53.
Catherine Odum of Lowndes shot three-over-par 75 for medalist honors.
Anniston Grantham led the Lady Gators with an
85 (40-45) to finish in a tie for seventh. Anslee Kate Grantham carded a 93
(48-45) with Kate Thomas posting a 97 (45-52) to round out the team score. Also playing were Eevy Griffin, who shot 98 (44--
54), and Lillie Livingston, who finished with a 100
(47-53).
No report was filed on Lady Gators’ match Thursday in Jesup at Pine Forest Country Club.
