AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina at Aiken freshman Brody Yeomans received the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Week honor for the last week of February.
The Brantley County High School alum, an all-state player his senior campaign, is a native of Hoboken. He went 5-for-13 for the Pacers (11-7 overall, 3-0 conference) against Francis Marion and Claflin College.
Yeomans, the son of William and Britnee Davis, opened the week by going 1-for-3 in the 54 victory Wednesday, February 26 at non-conference foe Francis Marion.
After going 1-for-3 in a 12-9 victory Friday, February 28 in the conference opener at Claflin University, Yeomans responded with a 3-for-7 effort in Game 1 of a 19-13 victory of a doubleheader Saturday, March 1.
The designated hitter drove in four runs and blasted his first collegiate home run. Yeomans picked up his first RBI on a groundout in the fourth inning. In the eighth, he blasted a two-run over the right-center field wall.

Yeomans singled both at bats in the 10-run ninth inning, collecting a final RBI helping USCA overcome a 13-7 deficit in the final two innings. The Pacers trailed 9-3 after two innings.
Yeomans was not in the lineup in the 9-0 Game 2 victory, which was highlighted by a seven-run seventh inning to blow the game open.
