Does anybody care about trash thrown out

Does anybody care about trash thrown out
Cans, bottles and trash were pulled out of the ditch showing how unconsiderate people are about keeping Brantley County clean Photo By WAYNE MORGAN

The other day I finally had enough of seeing all of the trash in the ditches near my house.

I started walking and throwing it up on the road and then came back with a trash can and loaded it all up. By the time I got it loaded, the trash can was slap full.

This is not the first time I have done this. I never have been able to understand the reasoning behind this.

We have trash pick-up. If you don’t want to use your own trash can, there are plenty of others sitting out beside the roads. I am sure the owners wouldn’t mind people stopping by and throwing trash into them every now and then.

Much of this is alcoholrelated such as beer cans and beer bottles, but not all of it. I even found a needle and syringe.

I have picked up so much of this off of my dirt road and out of the Satilla River over the years that it is unbelievable people live this way. It does not seem to bother them one bit.

By the next day, I was able to pick up a few more beer cans. It won’t be long, and it will be back like this once again.
