Brantley County’s basketball teams had representatives on the All-Region 1A First Team, All-Region 1-A Second Team and All-Region 1-A honorable mention squads in voting done by the coaches.
The Lady Herons were represented by Summer Colley as a First Team selection and Ayaniah Davenport on the Second Team. Receiving honorable mention status were Abbie Lee, Riana Dennard and Kimora Mincey.
Representing the Herons as a First Team selection was Tucker O’Quinn. Patrick O’Quinn earned Second Team honors. Carson Jacobs was an honorable mention member.
Worth County dominated the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards. Jariah Williams was the the Girls’ Player of the Year with Ashton Williams grabbing the Boys’ Player of the Year.
The Lady Rams’ Kaleb Hathcock and the Rams Paul Williams were each tabbed Coach of the Year.
Bacon County swept the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors in the girls’ division. Marnay’jah Reynolds was the Offensive Player of the Year while Makayla Thomas was the Defensive Player of the Year.
Thomasville’s Xavier Burkes was named the Boys’ Offensive Player of the Year with Marigus Sampson of Jeff Davis being honored as the Defensive Player of the Year.
