Celebrate National FFA Week
Pierce Middle FFA celebrated National FFA Week February 10-14 with five days of themed activities and educational events.
Monday was Administrator and Secretary Appreciation Day. The dress up day was western day. FFA Display boards were displayed and students took an FFA Quiz. The FFA Essay winner was also announced. Students participated in an environmental project and the featured commodity was blueberries.
Tuesday was Lunchroom, Janitor and Bus Driver Appreciation Day. The dress up theme was red, white and blue. Plant arrangements were made during Ag classes for a senior citizens home and featured commodity was peaches.
Wednesday was Teacher Appreciation Day. Teachers received a special breakfast and the dress up theme was camoflauge. FFA officers traveled to a local elementary school to read to students and talk about FFA. SAE record book award winners were announced. The featured Ag commodity was corn.
Thursday was green out day. The FFA celebrated Parapro and Lunchroom Appreciation Day. A guest speaker spoke in Ag classes. Students also attended the region FFA nursery landscape contest in Bacon county. The featured commodity was dairy.
Friday was FFA member appreciation day. Students received an Ag safety demonstration during their onnections class. The Ag commodity was beef and the 6th grade FFA officer team was announced.
