Pierce County’s Girl Scout Troop #30146 has repurposed empy cookie boxes into scratching posts for animals at the Ware County Animal Services. The scouts are in the middle of cookie season, which means lots of empty boxes. Instead of just disposing of them, the girls worked together to cut and compile the cardboard into scratching posts. Pictured above (l-r) are scouts Maggie O’Driscoll, Zoey Shelton, Kate Joiner, Rylie Bell and Gwen O’Driscoll. Scout Rylie Bell and her mother Alexis dropped off the cardboard creations last Tuesday.
