Employment Expo scheduled April 3 The City of Waycross and Work Source Georgia are partnering to stage the Spring Employment Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, April 3 at the C.C. McCray City Auditorium, 865 Pendleton Street.
More than 40 businesses are expected to attend the fair, organizers said.
Horseshoe Yard Sale set March 8 The 22nd annual Horseshoe Road Yard Sale will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 8.
This is a make-up date. The sale is generally held in October, but was cancelled last fall due to Hurricane Helene.
A variety of items are for sale on private property and the roadside along the 15-mile road through the Pierce County community. Food vendors also will be set up along the sale route.
Horseshoe Road is located off Ga. 15 between Blackshear and Bristol.

Sheriff James sets Easter Egg Hunt Ware County Sheriff Carl James and his personnel will hold an Easter Egg Hunt from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 12 on the office grounds, 3487 Harris Road.
The hunt, which begins at 10:45 a.m., is open to infants through children age 11. There will be prizes for ages infant to 3, ages 4-7 and 8-11.
Lunch will follow the egg hunt.
48th Swamp Run staged Saturday Runners have three chances to get some exercise and support local charities in the coming weeks with road races in the area.
The first opportunity comes Saturday, March 8 in the 48th annual Okefenokee Swamp Run, featuring a 10k trail and a 1-mile fun run at the swamp park.
That race is followed Saturday, March 29 with the Hooves to Freedom Trail Race at Moccasin Creek Off-Road Park in Blackshear. Finally, Saturday, April 5 comes the LCA Sprint Spring 5k and 1-mile fun run in Hoboken, benefiting the Lighthouse Christian Academy.

Ware schedules Senior Dance The Ware County Recreation Department stages a Senior Dance from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, March 8 at the Trembling Earth Complex, 2110 Cecil Brown Drive.

Chamber seeks hosts for events The Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce is compiling its list of hosts for its Rise ānā Shine and Business After Hours meetings for 2025.
Rise ānā Shine is held at 7:45 a.m. and Business After Hours at 5 p.m., each once every month.
