Valdosta State University
Several Pierce County students were named to the dean’s for fall semester, 2024, at Valdosta State University.
They include: Allie Carter, Katelyn Manning, Michaela Stone, Jade Davlin, Kenzie Meeks, Judah Hodges, Madison Pickett, Becky Thigpen, Jonah Allen and Katlyn Joyner, all of Blackshear and Carlos Leggett, Keely Shipe and Mary-Lizzie Godwin, all of Patterson.
To qualify for dean’s list at VSU, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3 or higher.
University of Alabama
Julia Green of Blackshear and Hannah Martinez Torress of Patterson were both named to the dean’s list at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa for fall semester, 2024.
Students named to the dean’s list must have an academic record of 3.5 (or above).
Georgia State University
Catherine Aguilar of Blackshear earned a bachelor of arts degree in film and media with a minor in journalism from Georgia State University in Atlanta at the end of the fall 2024m semester.
Aguilar and more than 3,000 fellow students were recognized for their achievements during the university’s commencement in December, 2024.
