ALMA — Avery Thornton (right) and Layla Thornton (left) captured their age division titles here Saturday in The Blueberry Classic’ golf tournament Blueberry Plantation Golf Course. The event is part of the Golden Isles Junior Golf Tour. Avery Thornton won the girls’ 12-14 age division (no score reported). Layla Thornton shot a 53 to win the girls’ 9-11 division by one shot. Asher Wood finished second in the boys’ 6-8 age division posting a nine-hole score of 45. Brandt Wood placed third in the boys’ 9-11 age division shooting 48.
