Satilla REMC Donates to Coastal Pines Technical College
Pictured above (l-r) are Stephanie Roberts (executive director of college advancement), Lonnie Roberts (president), Romeo Reyes and Jim Tucker (Satilla REMC) and Amanda Foreman (executive vice president).

The Satilla REMC Foundation recently donated $20,000 to the Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Foundation. The donations were given for two separate areas within the college. One $10,000 check will be used toward scholarships for the Electrical Lineworker Program to directly support the students and costs associated with the program, including tuition, books, and supplies. The second $10,000 donation was made to the general scholarship fund to assist any student at Coastal Pines who needs additional financial assistance with tuition, fees, and books. Through assistance from community partners and donors like Satilla REMC, the CPTC Foundation continues to serve students in need.

The Electrical Lineworker certificate program provides students with the necessary knowledge and skill to gain employment as an entry-level Lineworker with electrical utility companies, both public and private. This program can be completed in eight weeks. For more information, please visit www.coastalpines.edu. For more information on the CPTC Foundation, contact Stephanie Roberts, Executive Director of College Advancement, at [email protected].
