Certification for Lifeguard’s set
BRUNSWICK — The Glynn County Recreation and Parks Department is hosting an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Class.
A spring break class is scheduled for Monday, March 31 thru Friday, April 4 at the Neptune Park Fun Zone Pool. A blended learning class is scheduled for Thursday, April 24 thru Saturday, April 25.
The fee is $175 and class size is limited.

Okefenokee RESA meeting March 25
WAYCROSS — Molly Hudgens, a Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Citizens Honor for her act of heroism, will be the featured guest at Okefenokee RESA Tuesday, March 25.

Hudgens, a school counselor in Pleasant View, Tenn., helped avert a school shooting at Sycamore Middle School. She spent 90 minutes talking and praying with a 14-year-old student armed with a semi-automatice handgun and an additional magazine of ammunition.
She convinced the student to relinquish the weapon to her with no shots fired and no lives lost.
