Let’s start with a success story! Congratulations to Erik and Angelene Thumann upon the birth of their daughter, Lilly Grace Thumann, who was born July 10 at 5:08 p.m. Mr. Thumann is the certified athletic trainer at PCHS. Mrs. Thumann teaches at Patterson Elementary School. Lilly Grace joins a sister, Madison, who attends Patterson Elementary School.

This Saturday, Patterson Baptist Church is hosting the 2023 Back to School Shopping Event from 9 a.m.-noon this Saturday, July 22 at the church’s clothing closet, 3416 Wildwood Drive in Patterson. Patents of school aged children are invited to shop for new and gently used clothing for students at no cost. Email questions to [email protected]

Rising juniors: You are required to have the meningococcal booster shot before entering the 11th grade, unless your first dose was received on or after your 16th birthday. This shot is available at the Pierce County Health Department.

PCHS faculty members: If you plan on driving a school bus or the activity bus this coming school year, you need to have your physical and drug screen from now until 24 at Ware Express Care. No appointment is necessary. A mandatory training session is also scheduled for 9 a.m. July 27 in the PCHS auditorium.

All fans may now purchase reserved tickets for the 2023 PCHS football season that were not previously sold to returning seatholders. The 2023 regular season includes six home dates and kicks off August 25 at home versus Jeff Davis. The Bears also play a home pre-season scrimmage August 11 against Clinch County.

PCHS summer business hours are currently 8 a.m. -3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Regular Monday-Friday operating hours will resume Monday, July 31. Pre-planning is set for July 31-Aug 4. The first day of classes will be Monday, August 7.
