Cecil Davis, 79, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday night, February 22, 2025, at HCA Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, following an extended illness.
Born October 9, 1945, in Ware County, he was a son of the late Johnny Davis and Ruth Ann Hogan Davis. He lived most of his life in Ware and Pierce Counties and had worked as a carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Faye Davis; and siblings, Ruth Lyons, Angeline Corbitt, Jasper Davis, Edward Davis and Benny Lyons.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta Davis, Blackshear; six daughters, Jean Turner, Cobbtown, Kara Heath, Blackshear, Liza Davis and Elouise Davis, both of Waycross and Marie Davis and Tonya Siffles, both of Alma; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Davis and Marvin Davis (wife Jeanette), both of Waycross and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
