Blackshear Elementary principal Lanna Denison is in serious condition at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Denison underwent surgery for a medical emergency Sunday evening.
Denison, 49, was listed in critical condition at press time.
Numerous social media posts went up Sunday urging everyone to pray for Denison and her family.
Denison has served as principal of Blackshear Elementary since 2020 and has 27 years of service with Pierce County Schools. Prior to that, she was the director of federal programs for the school system and was an assistant principal, instructional coach and teacher at the middle school.
