Peggy Ann Raulerson, 81, of Waycross (formerly of Blackshear), passed away early Tuesday morning February 18, 2025, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, following a short illness.
Born January 30, 1944, in Bacon County, she was a daughter of the late Seward and Irene Carter Raulerson. She grew up in Pierce County and graduated from Blackshear High School. She lived in multiple cities and countries throughout her life including Italy, Jacksonville, FL and Smyrna, Tennessee before returning to Pierce County in the 1990s. She had worked various clerical jobs through the years and was a longtime member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid animal lover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Latrelle Moore and Laforest Murray and three brothers, Carnell Raulerson, Edwin Raulerson and W.L. “Buddy” Raulerson.
Survivors include two sisters, Joyce Walker, Waycross and Delorise Reed, Winter Park, FL and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, from the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Inurnment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
