SGRC to dedicate Bazemore gazebo The Southern Georgia Regional Commission’s Area Agency on Aging will dedicate a gazebo at 10 a.m. Friday, February 21 in Basemore Park, 1700 Riverside Drive, A ribbon-cutting ceremony will debut the shelter and accompanying benches purchased through funding provided by the AARP Community Challenge Project Grant. The gazebo and outdoor seating will allow older adults to enjoy the open-air environment while also providing shelter from the sun when desired.

MSH offers forum on artery disease Memorial Satilla Health continues its observance of Heart Health Month by hosting “Know Your Options: Peripheral Artery Disease” at noon Friday, February 21 at the Waycross Train Depot, 315 Plant Avenue.

Interventional cardiologist Dr. Eduardo Venegas will offer an overview of the screening process, medical management and interventions for PAD. The seminar will include a light lunch and a question and answer session with Dr. Venegas.

Bacon Senior Center sets dance The Bacon County Senior Center, 504 N. Pierce Street, Alma, has scheduled a Senior Dance for 6:30 p.m. Friday, February 28.

Disc Jockey Fred Hand will be playing all the golden oldies until 10 p.m. There is a cover charge.
