The pursuit of excellence award is presented monthly to employees who go above and beyond in their position. School superintendent Dara Bennett commended all five principals for their hard work each day in “the pursuit of excellence”. “The impact of a school principal on student achievement is significant. Principals, as school leaders, play a key role in shaping the educational environment, influencing teacher performance and ultimately contributing to student success,” said Bennett. “Effective principals not only manage day-to-day operations but also focus on long-term strategies that foster a culture of high expectations, support and continuous improvement. Pierce County Schools are achieving at a very high level and all of them are to be commended for their leadership.
