The Citadel

Davis Byrd of Blackshear is among the more than 1,300 cadets and students recognized for their academic achievements at the Citadel at Charleston, SC, during the fall 2024 semester.

The dean's list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.20 or higher, with no grade of I (Incomplete) and no grade below C for work in a semester.

Cadets who are named to the dean's list receive a medal, which is worn on their uniform during the semester following their academic achievement. Noncadet students on the dean's list are presented a certificate.

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College

Three Pierce County students were recognized for fall semester academic honors at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton for the fall semester, 2024.

Emily Stovall of Blackshear was named to the president’s list.

Alex Hart and Vera Tyre, both of Mershon, were named to the dean’s list.

To be eligible for the president’s list, students must earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average while carrying a minimum of 12 hours of academic work.

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and carry at least 12 hours of academic work.

Mississippi State University

Lillie Miller, of Patterson, GA, was among approximately 1,500 students graduating from Mississippi State University in fall 2024, with commencement in December.

Miller received the Bachelor of Science from MSU's College of Arts and Sciences.
