BEARVILLE — Pierce County Middle School’s tennis teams opened their 2025 season Wednesday with a sweep of visiting Coffee Middle.
The Lady Bears posted a 4-1 victory in the February 12 match with the Bears notching a 5-0 win.
PCMS travels today (Wednesday, February 19) to Douglas for a return match. Pierce Middle opens Southeast Georgia Middle School Conference action Monday, February 24 hosting Bacon County Middle School. PCMS travels Wednesday, February 26 to Waycross Middle School.

PCMS recorded a sweep of the doubles action to secure the victory over the Lady Trojans.
The No. 1 team of Zayleigh Raithel and Emmaline Taylor posted an 8-2 victory with the No. 2 duo of Brystal Bennett and Gracie Thompson winning 8-5.
In singles action, Brooklyn Thomas doubled up her foe in winning 8-4 at No. 1 singles. Harper Larson rolled to an 8-3 victory at No. 3. Bindi Boatright dropped a tough 8-6 decision at No. 2.

The Bears dropped three games in beating up Coffee Middle.
Both Nate Carlson and Hutson Streat notched 8-0 victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Bentley Taylor won 8-2 at No. 3 with Andrew Hilton winning 8-0 at No. 4 singles.
The No. 1 doubles tandem of Jashun Faison and Wyatt Godwin cruised to an 8-1 victory.
