SAFE BB team first year shooters take top honors in Wilkes County

The Pierce County 4-H SAFE First Year BB Team competed in the 2025 Wilkes County 4-H First Year Shooters Match in Washington, GA on February 1. Four teams and 28 first year shooting athletes across Georgia participated.

Pierce County’s Pierce Red 1 First Year Shooting Team received top honors with a team score of 1703 and 30 centers. The Pierce Red team included Riley Sexton, Taylor Sexton, Dixie Griffis, Hunter Deal, Ayden Brymer, Case Deal and Eva King.

First Year Shooting Athlete Riley Sexton placed 2nd overall and 2nd in the standing position. Taylor Sexton placed 3rd overall. Eva King placed 1st in the prone position. Case Deal placed 2nd in the kneeling position.

Dixie Griffis, Hunter Deal and Ayden Brymer were also Top 10 shooters. Hunter Deal, Case Deal and Mikah Deal broke their personal 2025 shooting competition record.

The Pierce 4-H SAFE BB Shooting Team will travel to Coffee County, Saturday, February 8, 2025, to compete in the VFW Match. Fans can follow their progress on orionresults.com. You can also show your local shooting sports support by contacting a SAFE Team member or parent, the Pierce County 4-H Office, or SAFE Coaches to make a RADA Cutlery Fundraiser Order. The fundraiser ends February 20 and has an online order option.
