Ware County Future Farmers of America Chapter members (l-r) Kaitlyn Flowers, José Gomez, Lainee Gill, and Brody Jeffers had the honor of attending former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral procession Thursday, January 9 in his hometown of Plains. The students were among a select group of FFA members from across Georgia who gathered to pay tribute to the nation’s 39th President and his tremendous support of FFA. The members attended with the message: “Thank you, President Carter, for believing in and inspiring the future of agriculture.” The former President, who was buried at his family home, was a member of FFA and had served the Plains FFA as Chapter Secretary.
