Three Ware County football players signed letters- of-intent during National Signing Day Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Jamar Birden (front left) signed with Mid-American Conference member Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. Nick Simmons (center) committed to Southern Conference member Furman University in Greenville, S.C. Javonte Evans (right) signed with Georgia Military Junior College in Milledgeville. Birden was one of 12 Cardinal signees Wednesday for first-year head coach Mike Uremovich, who takes over a 3-9 program. Simmons was one of 10 to sign December 4 during the Early Signing Period with the Paladins and head coach Clay Hendrix, who finished 3-8 last season. Evans heads to the Bulldogs, who finished 10-2 under head coach Rob Manchester. GMC fell in the NJCAA Division I semifinals.
