JESUP — Linda Smith, 77 of Jesup, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
The Appling County native had lived in Wayne County most of her life and was a Christian. Mrs. Smith was a retired seamstress who enjoyed Smith
taking care of her great grandson and cooking.
Her husband, Bobby Smith preceded her in death along with her son, Franklin Lamar Hand.
Survivors are a daughter, Shirley (Terry) Martin of Jesup; a son, Bobby, Jr. (Rhonda) Smith of Wrens; five grandchildren, Linda Hand, Erica (Ben) Sisson, Emily (fiance’ Hunter Mixon) Martin, Chandler Smith and Sadie Smith; a great grandson, Braiden.
A graveside funeral service was held Monday, February 10, 2025 in Smyrna Cemetery with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd, Jesup, GA 31545.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup was in charge of arrangements.
