HORTENSE — Michael Lamar Lyons, 63 of Hortense, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at his residence.
Born in Jesup, Lyons’ parents are Claudie Pitts Lyons of Richmond Hill and the late David Lyons. Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Katie Lyons Carroll.
Lyons worked many years as a machinist. He was a 1979 graduate of Camden County High School. Lyons enjoyed golf and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his two sons and a daughterin- law, Clint Lyons and Alex Lyons (Carolyn), all of Ludowici; three stepchildren, Wayne Larrison and Jacob Larrison (Jessica), all of Camden County, and Serenia O’Berry (Bryan) of Scottland, Ga.; three grandchildren, Tommy Carroll (Nicole), Gabriel Taylor, and Brinley Lyons; his mother, Claudie Pitts Lyons of Richmond Hill; two brothers and a sisterin- law, Larry Lyons (Renee) and Daniel Lyons,

Lyons all of Richmond Hill; nieces and nephews, Victoria Lyons, David Lyons, Evan Lyons, Morgan Bowling (Trey) and Luke Lyons (Ashton); and a great nephew, Colton Lyons; also several other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held today (Wednesday, February 12, 2025) at 3 p.m., at Oakgrove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m.-3 p.m., at the cemetery.
