Snell is named as regional director

Jeremy Snell has been hired as the new director of the Three Rivers Regional Library System.

Snell will begin his work as director March 1. He was hired by a unanimous vote of the Three Rivers Regional Library Board of Trustees during a special called meeting last Monday, Feb. 3.

Snell is the former director of West Georgia Regional Library and the current interim director for Troup – Harris Regional Library.

Originally from Dothan Alabama, he earned his library degree from the University of South Carolina, and has worked in various states.

Snell will succeed Clint Moxley who was dismissed by the board in November, 2024. Moxley was dismissed after an investigation was opened into misuse of public funds in the TRRLS. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in to investigate the case.

Pat Herndon has been serving as interim director since that time.
