Harry Lee Coley, 76, of Richmond Hill, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 9, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.
Born in Waycross August 6, 1948, he lived in Richmond Hill since 1988. He was a 1966 graduate of Ware County High School. He retired from the Corp of Engineers and went on to obtain his license as a certified real estate appraiser, which he did for a number of years. He loved football and enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs. He also enjoyed collecting coins and was especially interested in Roman coins. He enjoyed watching the History Channel and the SCIFI Channel.
He was the son of the late Harley Lee and Annie Ruth Farr Coley. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Coley Witt.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Margaret Thomas Coley, Richmond Hill; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Maggie Coley, Pooler; four granddaughters, Grace Coley, Harper Coley, Ansleigh Witt and Addison Witt; two sisters, Carolyn Coley Dixon, Waycross and Ann Coley Thigpen (Travis), Chesterfield, VA and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A private graveside service was held today, Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of the givers choosing.
