Tyre reunion set March 1 The 51st annual family reunion of the descendants of John Tyre, his first wife, Mary Jane Lightsey Tyre, and his second wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Eason Tyre, will be held Saturday, March 1, at the Long Branch Community Center, 3419 Long Branch Road, Bristol, in Appling County. Doors open at 11 a.m. and a business meeting will begin at noon. Attendees should bring a covered dish for the lunch to follow.
Plates, cups, utensils and drinks will be provided.
