FEMA’s deadline to apply for assistance to help Georgians affected by Hurricane Helene ends Friday, February 7.
“This is a crucial opportunity for those with damage to their primary residences to access support and begin rebuilding,” said Kelly Gaskins, FEMA media relations specialist. “FEMA is committed to helping Georgians recover, but the first step is registering for assistance. Don’t let this opportunity slip away.”
You can apply for FEMA assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov. You can also apply using the FEMA App for mobile devices or calling toll-free (800) 621-3362.
Survivors can contact the Georgia Call Center Monday through Saturday at 678-547-2861 for assistance with their application. For an accessible video on how to apply for assistance go to FEMA Accessible: Applying for Individual Assistance on YouTube.
To date, FEMA has OK’d more than $283.9 million in housing and other types of assistance and approved more than 200,000 applications for Georgia households.
