Dueling Pianos program set Feb. 8 Better Hometown Blackshear is bringing back Dueling Pianos.
The organization is sponsoring a dueling pianos program at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 8, at the Historic Blackshear Train Depot, 200 S. Central Avenue.
Tickets are $50 per person. Capacity is 200 and those attending must be at least 21 years old.

Mayor’s Ball slated Feb. 13
The City of Waycross will holds it’s Mayor’s Ball at 6 p.m., Friday, February 13 at the C.C. McCray City Auditorum, 865 Pendleton Street.
The theme this year is “Love Your City,” Mayor Michael-Angelo James said. This year’s colors are red, black and white.
Dress is business attire. Tickets are $50.
Kidney Charity opens fundraiser The Okefenokee Kidney Charity, Inc. holds its 14th Annual fundraiser through February.
The members of Big Bethel Freewill Baptist and Greater St. Paul Churches partner with the Okefenokee Kidney Organization to seek donations during the period. All donations will be used to benefit kidney and kidney- related disease patients.
The Okefenokee Kidney Charity, Inc. serves kidney patients in the Waycross, Ware County, Pierce County, Brantley County, and Bacon County areas. The charity is a 501(c)3 domestic nonprofit organization. All contributions are tax deductible.

Ware BOE meets Monday, Tuesday The Ware County Board of Education will meet Monday-Tuesday, Februrary 10-11 at the board office, 1301 Bailey Street.
A work session will be held Monday followed by the business meeting Tuesday. Both start at 6 p.m. and are open to the public.

Aging Advisory Council meeting The Aging Advisory Council of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission’s Area Agency on Aging will meet Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
The meeting will be held at the Southern Georgia Regional Commission at 1725 South Georgia Parkway, West in Waycross. It is open to the public.
