Fannie “Annette” Dixon Earle, 87, of Blackshear, passed away Monday morning, July 24, 2023, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, following an extended illness.
Born July 22, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Tom S. and Miram Crews Dixon. She grew up in Pierce County and then moved to Massachusetts for about 10 years before moving to Fleming Island, Florida where she lived for 46 years. She returned to Pierce County in 2020 and had been a longtime housewife.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, William Earle; three sisters, Iris Jones, Carolyn Shuman Sapp and Frances Dixon Crews and a brother, Thomas E. Dixon.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Edward Hyde “Pete” Earle Jr., Blackshear; 3 children, Terry Earle (wife Karen), Lillington, NC, Pamela Earle, St. Augustine, FL and Tommy Earle, Blackshear; five grandchildren, Amy Levasseur, Samantha Clark, Aubree Kandl, Kayla Kandl and Morgan Payne; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Sammy Dixon (wife Nancy), Blackshear and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 28, at the funeral home.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
