WAYCROSS — Bonnell Jewell Wilson, 93, of Waycross, died Sunday evening, January 19, 2025, at Baptist Village Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Douglas to the late Jack Jewell and Daisy Joyner Jewell. She made Waycross her home for most of her life. Mrs. Wilson was an exceptional homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband Henry C. Wilson; four sisters, Maggie Smith, Francis Barrett, Annie Bell Musgrove and Myrtice Exum; two brothers, Lester Jewell and Paul Jewell.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her two sons, David see OBITS, Page 4A Carroll Wilson, Sr. (wife Audrey of Waycross, Gerald Wayne Wilson (wife Nora) of Waycross; six grandchildren, Caroline Michelle Jones (husband Michael), Tina Marie Blevin (husband Gary), Kimberly Lynn Wilson of Waycross, David Carroll Wilson, Jr. (wife Shelby), Michael Wayne Wilson (wife Brittany) and Lena Howard; great grandchildren, Carli Valerio, Austin Jones, Tyler Jones, Kollins May Wilson, Henry Wilson, Scarlett Robinson, Willow Robinson, Jaxx Robinson, Brayden Rudolph, Khaleesi Wilson, Hudson Wilson, Gracie Pittman, Tucker Blevin, Emily Shiflet (husband Carter), Carli Blevin and Abbey Blevin; a sister, Vernell Wells; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service was held Sunday, January 26 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial took place in Oakland Cemetery.
