WAYCROSS — John Lott Storey, 51, died Saturday, January 18, 2025, at his father’s residence in Waycross.
Storey was born August 16, 1973, in Waycross to James Herman Storey and Bonnie Lott Storey.
He was a member of the 1992 Waycross High School graduating class. Storey was a member of First Methodist Church in Waycross where he was active in the youth group and youth choir. He was also a former member of the Waycross Jaycees.
Storey worked for many years with his dad at Storey’s Furniture and Appliances. Most recently, he had been living in Annandale Village in Suwannee, Ga., but always considered Waycross his home.
Storey was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Lott Storey; his maternal grandparents, John Hopkins Lott and Margaret Edenfield Lott and his paternal grandparents, William Herman Storey and Jewell McMillan Storey.
He is survived by his father, Herman Storey and his wife, Rudy, of Waycross; his brother, Jamie Storey of Waycross; his sister, Beth Storey Neal and her husband, Jay, of Watkinsville, Ga.; his nieces and nephews, Jamie-Marie Storey, Carley Neale, Hayden Neale, Coleman Neale and Margaret Anne Neale; his great nephew, Palmer Billow; and numerous other relatives.
A funeral service was held Friday, January 24 at First Methodist Church. A private family interment will was held in Oakland Cemetery.
