BRANTLEY COUNTY — Mrs. Virginia “Ginger” Gail Williams Worley, 65, died Saturday, January 25, 2025, at her residence in Brantley County after an extended illness.

She was born October 26, 1959 in Waycross to the late Darvin Williams and Marian Piazza Williams.

Worley graduated from Ware County High School in 1977. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mrs. Worley retired from Hoboken Elementary School as the lunchroom manager. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, canning and going to the beach, but she adored her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Michael D. Worley of Brantley County; two sons, Caleb Worley (Chelsey) of Waycross and Chad Worley (Georgia) of Kingsland; grandchildren, Autumn Worley, Allyson Worley, Casey Wayne Worley and one on-the-way, Aubree Worley; her mother, Marian Piazza Williams of Waycross; siblings, Dennis Williams (Jane) of Warner Robins, Lisa Miller of Blackshear, Angie Wilson (Ric) of Waycross and Bob Williams (Tammie) of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 30 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, January 29) at Music Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made in her honor to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, 31501.
