Floyd
Samuel Eugene “Sammy” Floyd, 62, of Hoboken, passed away Sunday evening, January 19, 2025, at Memorial Health in Savannah after a brief illness.
He was born in Waycross to the late Talmadge and Mary Ruth Hickox Floyd and lived here all his life.
Survivors include his wife, Karen and his three children, Amy Corbett (husband David), Blackshear; Sara Myrick (husband Jackie), Blackshear and Gracie, Hoboken; six grandchildren, Blake Bishop (wife McKenzy), Hortense, Sondra Myrick (Noah), Atkinson, Mattie Myrick, Brantley Willis, Emma Myrick and Bryce Willis, all of Blackshear; two great-grandchildren, Bella Crews, Atkinson and Kambree Bishop, Hortense; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony Floyd (Susan), Hoboken and Ricky Floyd (Vickie), Hoboken and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at Hoboken Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 2, from the Hoboken Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Williams officiating.
