This picture is indeed worth a thousand words. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy covered his ears during a recent Congressional hearing so he wouldn’t have to hear criticisms of his job performance. DeJoy covered his ears after Rep. Rich McCormick (R-GA) of Suwannee and other members of Congress complained about service quality at the post office under his tenure, perhaps cementing his legacy of unresponsiveness and failure. Just this past week, we heard two unbelievable stories about poor service. Two different subscribers within 20 miles of our office reported delays of 10 days and 15 days respectively in receiving their newspapers. At long last, we encourage Mr. DeJoy to get his hands off his ears and get off his seat and do something to improve service.
