Presbyterian College

Patrick Bennett of Blackshear and Natalie Herrin of Patterson were recognized for academic success during fall semester at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC.

Bennett of Blackshear was named to the president’s list for earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Herrin of Patterson was named to dean's list for the Fall 2024 semester. Students who make the dean's list earn at least a 3.5 to 3.9 grade point average for the semester.

Georgia Southern University

A number of Pierce County residents were recognized for academic achievement during fall semester at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.

Students named to the president’s list include Rigoberto Alcaraz, Bailey Batten, Regan Boatright, Landon Carter, Mikal Chancey, Kaylee Cravey, John Thomas Echols, Caleb Gilleon, Breanda Howard, Katelyn McLeod, Joseph Rentz, Jonathan Robertson, Lauren Wildes, Matti Williams and Ja`Nasia Wilson, all of Blackshear and Natalee Griffin, Zachary Murphy, Liset Nolasco, Cadence Raulerson and Abby Tyo, all of Patterson.

To be eligible for the president’s list students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours.

Students named to the dean’s list include Luke Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Rylee Carden, Marc Hawkins, Caroline Herring, Elizabeth Higginson, Gregory Higginson, Jane Jones, Jeffery Mobley, Kaley Robins, Bayleigh Sinclair, John Tarr and Brooke Williams, all of Blackshear; Jacob Brown, Sagrario Thomas and Justin Tyre, all of Patterson and Mary Tomberlin of Bristol.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry at least 12 hours of course work.

Mercer University

Several Pierce County residents were recognized for academic honors fall semester at Mercer University.

Blackshear: Addison Cantrell, School of Business, President's List and Emma Kicklighter, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Dean's List.

Patterson: Ashley Bennett, College of Professional Advancement, Dean's List, Raegen Cauthen, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Dean's List, and Veronica Hope, College of Professional Advancement, President's List.

Samford University

Carson Sloan, a pre-business major from Blackshear, was named to Samford University's dean’s list for fall 2024 semester.

To qualify for the dean's list, a student must earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. The dean’s List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Southern New Hampshire University Jeffrey Hickson, Clara Price and Sarah Rentz of Blackshear were named to the dean’s list and Sandra Maignan, also of Blackshear, has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s (SNHU) academic honors for fall semester, 2024.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.50 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List. Fulltime undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.70 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List.

Georgia College and State University

Hannah Gilleon and Benjamin Stovall of Blackshear, and Khiya Williams of Bristol all made the President’s List.

Jenna Bennett and Gracee Richey, both of Blackshear qualified for the Dean’s List.

Georgia College salutes all students who made the President's List and Deans List for their outstanding efforts. To earn distinction on the President's List, students must achieve a minimum 4.0 GPA for the semester, minimum 3.5 GPA for the semester for the Dean’s List.

Georgia Southwestern State University Two students from Pierce County were recognized by Georgia Southwestern University (GSW) for the fall semester.

Benjamin Crews of Blackshear made the Fall 2024 President's List.

To be eligible for the President's List, a student must earn a semester GPA of 4.0 and take a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Katherine Denison of Patterson made the Fall 2024 Academic Achievement List at GSW.

To be eligible for the Academic Achievement List, a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours, be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA.

College of Coastal Georgia

The College of Coastal Georgia of Brunswick recognized six students from Pierce on the president’s list or dean’s list due to their high academic performance during the Fall 2024 semester.

Pierce County students who were named to the Fall 2024 president’s list are Kyle Bowen, Morgan Lee and Brody Strickland.

Pierce County residents named to the dean’s list are Bethzy Mendez, Zachary Myers and Madelyn Scruggs.

To qualify for the President’s List, students must be enrolled in at least six hours of course work and achieve a grade-point average of 4.00 for the term. Students on the Dean’s List achieved a GPA of 3.5 to 3.99 while enrolled in at least six hours for the term.
