The Pierce County 4-H SAFE BB Team traveled to the Jan. 18 Georgia All Star Shooting Match hosted by the Ware County 4-H SAFE Team. Twelve teams and 72 shooting athletes competed within individually recognized age categories.
Pierce County’s Red 1 team took 2nd Place. Team members included Gad DePratter, Allie Herrin, Eli Locklear, Austin Brymer, JerriBeth Mullis, Aleeah Eason and Mason Dixon.
Pierce County’s Red 2 team took 5th Place. Team members included Eli Chessar, Andrew Davis, Eva King, Dixie Griffis and Ayden Brymer.
Pierce County’s Red 3 team took 8th Place. Team members included Taylor Sexton, Riley Sexton, Hunter Deal, Case Deal and Mikah Deal.
Riley Sexton took away many awards, placing 1st overall individual, 1st in the prone position, 2nd in the standing position, and 2nd in the sitting position in the 10 and under category. Eva King was exceptional in her category placing 2nd overall individual, 1st in the standing position, and 1st in the sitting position in the 10 and under category. Case Deal placed 3rd in the standing position and was a Top 10 Shooter in the 10 and under category. Mikah Deal was also a Top 10 Shooter in the 10 and under category.
Allie Herrin took top honors placing 1st overall individual, 2nd in the prone position, 2nd in the standing position, 3rd in the sitting position, and 3rd in the kneeling position in the 11 - 12 category. Eli Chessar placed 3rd overall individual and 1st in the sitting position in the 11 - 12 category. Aleeah Eason placed 1st in the standing position and was a Top 10 Shooter in 11 - 12 category. Taylor Sexton and Andrew Davis also shared honors as Top 10 Shooters in the 11 - 12 category.
Gad DePratter walked away with a 3rd place finish in the 13 -15 category. DePratter, Eli Locklear, Austin Brymer and Jerri-Beth Mullis were all Top 10 Shooters in the 13 - 15 category.

The Georgia 4-H SAFE Shooting Sports program provides youth a place to develop a sense of belonging, learn teamwork, and increase concentration skills in a safe place. Safety and the responsible use of firearms is a primary goal. Certified Volunteer Coaches lead the Pierce County 4-H SAFE Teams in BB and Air Rifle.
